We study rigorously throughout our life about helping people in need and how to be able to lend a supportive hand yet only few are bold enough to take the challenge practically and are able to bring some change in society. Many communities especially in the developing countries need support and assistance to get out of the poverty circle. This support in the form of monetary or life skill has helped many start a life with dignity and have become example for many others. Many organizations today work for the promotion of human rights and to provide safe and secure life for people all around the world. And have touched and changed many lives such as the agencies of UN.
BRAC is one of the development organizations that I learnt about. Sir Fazel Hassan Abed showed how a vision and determination can accomplish anything. His work is recognized everywhere in the world and his determination is acknowledged by all.
BRAC is renowned for its great work for the marginalized community and is an example for all other organization working in the development sector. BRAC has set a standard for other organizations and practically showed how the ultra poor can be reached.
BRAC’s work in empowering community is the only way to make them sustainable and for them to create a future for themselves and their children. It is important that people living in poverty understand the need for better life and should strive to do something within their capacity. And I believe that it is our responsibility that we look out for people who want to change their living conditions and help them in whatever way possible. Human lives are all interconnected and we cannot have a peaceful world if few live a life of luxury and other fight hunger every day.
