Once in a green field there was a big strong tree. This tree was always proud of being strong and thought no wind could ever harm it. When the wind used to blow against its leaves the strong tree knew that it branches will take the wind without even bending. He usually made fun of the grass and the little plants. These plants would bend to the wind and lose consciousness when the wind was strong and it was the tress’ muse and he made fun of these little plants.
But one day the wind was too strong and the plants unable to stay strong were unconscious and the egoistic tree started laughing at them. He was too proud of his strength and made fun of the small plants. But the wind did not stop and turned into a storm. The little plants were already unconscious but the tree which was laughing harder.
But suddenly everything went to havoc, the sky turned darker, the clouds raging, lightning and thunderstrom struck and in the chaos nothing could be seen. Next morning when the sun came up, the little plants gain their consciousness and were surprised to see the leaves of the giant tree all over the place. And soon they saw one heavy branch of the tree lying down on the earth. The tree sad and ashamed of his ego filled laugh started to apologize. He said may be it is God’s anger because of how he kept teasing all the plants.
The small plant than said that you sure are a mighty tree but God has also given us some benefits. We might not be able to stand against the storm but we are not fataly harm by it either. God has given all of us talents. and when we compare one with the other at few time one might seem better than the other. But God know more than we do and in the right time we will find why he made us the way he did and we will understand our strength in that moment.
The strength of the tree made it inflexible, and rather than bender it breaks down. Flexibility might not be idea but it saves you in the long run and you would always be thankful for it. And always be humble about all the great things that you have received from God.
