Often people are reluctant to change. Because it means to let go of old ideas and belief that had value and had hold a space in our life. Sometimes these values were fought for because they seemed reasonable and rationale. But more than often people wonder and view these beliefs critically. And I think after critically analyzing ones beliefs one reaches a point where either he hold tighter or let loose of it. And this is a continuous process which lay foundation for what type of person we want to be.
But once these ideas are strongly established it is difficult to hear negative or bad things about them. But I think once in awhile if we could just listen to some other perspective that could be really good for us. It refreshes the mind and expands our understanding. Apart from this we also widen our world of choices, ideas, and beliefs. I am not sure how right or wrong I am! but this is something I just feel right now.

In an effort to keep to the practises that were ushered in through change we are now sticking to these practises and making them traditions. What then is the point of calling ourselves progressive when all we do is hold on to stiff traditions? Old people in crisp white shirts behind a desk aren’t the way to a better society relaxed conversations with the youth is guaranteed to bring change not only to your mind but to your perceptions!
